This position is for the Regional Training Coordinator and Facilities Administrator. Work in evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required. Some travel is required.This is a training and development supervisor/manager position responsible for coordinating and developing policies and administrative procedures related to the operation of a training program. Employees work includes assessing, identifying and managing approved training programs. Employees may provide oversight and daily supervision, direction and delegation of work to training instructors who are assigned to specialized training duties, and have input into setting a budget. Employees may also participate in training design and instruction and are accountable for the work performance of training staff and compliance with established objectives. Supervision of staff includes making hiring recommendations; providing training; planning and reviewing assignments, assessing performance, coaching, and progressive discipline. Supervision at this level also requires these employees to have the knowledge and skills to perform and review the work overseen.
This position will report directly to the Assistant Division Director - Director of Staff Training and Development at the MO Department of Corrections Training Academy.
Working evenings, Saturdays, and holidays may be required. Some travel required Minimum Qualifications: Two or more years of experience as a Senior Staff Development Training Specialist with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System
ORNine or more years of professional supervisory experience with the Missouri Uniform Classification and Pay System.
OR Nine or more years of professional or technical experience in a business, governmental, or military setting, where the primary duties involved formal classroom training, training course design and development, and/or curriculum planning; professional teaching experience at the high school level or above; and/or educational administration involving responsibility for curriculum planning and the supervision of teaching staff
(Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university that include earned credit hours in Education, Business or Public Administration, the social sciences, or a closely related field may substitute for up to four years of the required experience, at a rate of 30 credit hours for one year - a minimum of three years of the listed experience is required)
Preferred Qualifications/SkillsManagerial experience or familiarity of on-site food service processes, on-site lodging accommodations, facility maintenance oversight and facility security.
All requested documents MUST be received by the closing date listed. Contingent upon your position, you may also be eligible to receive:
- A $2.00 per hour shift differential if you are assigned to a shift that begins on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am and are employed at a 24/7 congregate care facility (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center).
- A $0.75 per hour maximum security stipend if you work full-time at a qualifying facility.
- A $1.00 per hour restrictive housing stipend if you are assigned a regular post within a restrict housing/segregation unit at any facility.
The Department of Corrections currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years!
