Cole County. Semi-monthly salary: The current rate for this position is
$7,252.97. Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay).
Job Location: This position is located at the

What you’ll do:
The Director of Pharmacy is MO HealthNet Division’s primary source of clinical pharmaceutical expertise. The director oversees policy and
processes around clinical editing tools, prior authorizations and clinical edits, Preferred Drug List, and performs evidence-based therapeutic class reviews. The director also evaluates clinical patient profiles to encourage appropriate medication utilization and to identify medical necessity and manages pharmacy advisory group meetings. The Director of Pharmacy interacts with key stakeholders on a regular basis.
The successful candidate for this position will lead the division’s policy management with regard to pharmacy and assist with related programs such as durable medical equipment. This position will deliver clinical support for the Clinical Call Centers and for MO HealthNet providers through review of requests for products and services. The Director of Pharmacy will also ensure clinical best practices are met in the development and application of clinical criteria. This position will work closely with division personnel as well as contracted clinical personnel and vendors.

Create and Implement Medicaid Initiatives Designed to Create a Best in Class Medicaid Program that Provides Needed Services to Missouri’s Most Vulnerable Population in a Sustainable Fashion.Advisory Group Liaison: Primary Division delegate responsible for presentation of clinical recommendations at Pharmacy Program advisory group meetings. Offers pharmacy program updates for budget and clinical initiatives, as well as specific edit criteria to the Rare Disease Advisory Council, Drug Prior Authorization Committee, and Drug Use Review Board for discussion and adoption by vote. Performs evidence-based therapeutic class reviews which are incorporated into the Division recommendations for the Preferred Drug List and Clinical Edit programs.
Minimum Qualifications:Licensed Missouri Pharmacist who is currently in good standing . Five or more years of experience in community or hospital pharmacy as a licensed pharmacist
Preferred Qualifications: - Demonstrated expertise in federal and state laws governing Medicaid (Title XIX) and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP/Title XXI).
- Professional experience in pharmacy administration, managed care, or a large-scale clinical setting.
- History of collaborative leadership with the ability to present complex clinical and financial data to diverse audiences, including legislative bodies, Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) Committees, and provider groups.
