    BEHAVIORAL TECHNICIAN

    St. Louis Developmental Disabilities Treatment Centers

    Expected Salary: $1,772.40 Semi-monthly / $42,537.60 Annually

    For Teams 2 and 3, an additional $2.00/hour Shift Differential

    ( The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. Years of service adjustments, shift differentials, and other targeted salary payments are applied to the total compensation of your paycheck and are subject to eligibility requirements of the appropriate differential. )

    St. Louis Developmental Disabilities Treatment Centers currently has openings for a Behavioral Technician at South County Habilitation Center. Looking to fill 7 (seven) positions for all 3 shifts with varying sequential days off per position. Below are the times and days off of the available positions.

    Team 1: 6:30am-3:00pm

    Team 2: 2:30pm-11:00pm

    Team 3: 10:45pm-6:45am

    Thursday and Friday

    Monday and Tuesday

    Saturday and Sunday

    Saturday and Sunday

    Wednesday and Thursday

    Monday and Tuesday

    Job Duties:

    This is semi-skilled direct care work implementing behavioral interventions for persons with developmental disabilities.

    • Implementing the individual support plan and behavioral support techniques developed by the behavior resource team for consumers potentially requiring more restrictive environments due to their behaviors and/or medical needs.
    • Responding to crisis situations and implement interventions established until behavior is safe.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of standard behavior modification techniques, including receiving an Advanced Skills certificate of the Safety Care program within 1 year of appointment.
    • Ability to work effectively on a team, and to work where needed to fill open spots.
    • Ability to lift clients and assist in performing transfers and basic ADL and use of hands-on skills (dependent care).
    • Ability to successfully pass a variety of training classes within a specified timeframe.
    • Able to drive an adaptive bus, with training.


    Eligibility Requirements:

    1 year of relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and high school diploma or equivalency.
