The City of Santa Paula is looking for a skilled and solutions-driven professional to join its leadership team as Assistant Public Works Director/City Engineer. This key leadership role will guide major road and utility improvements, oversee the City’s Capital Improvement Program (CIP) and provide in-house engineering expertise to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely and in alignment with community priorities. The position also supervises the Streets Division and Permit Technician, working closely with the Water, Wastewater and Stormwater teams to coordinate projects that enhance daily life for residents.
This is a unique opportunity to make a tangible impact in a growing Ventura County community that is investing heavily in its infrastructure. The ideal candidate is an experienced municipal engineer and hands-on leader who values collaboration, problem-solving and public service.
In addition to a competitive salary range of $132,600-$161,220, the City is offering a signing bonus of up to $15,000, paid over the first three years of employment.
