    Therapeutic Services Worker

    St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center - South, 5300 Arsenal St., St. Louis, MO 63139

    Semi-Monthly Salary: $1,521.02

    St. Louis Forensic Treatment Center South Campus is seeking a positive, energetic, and caring individual for

    our full time Therapeutic Service Worker position in our Client Work Program (CWP). We aspire to be a team

    of talented, compassionate professionals helping our clients in their personal journey of healing, resilience,

    and recovery, through our exceptional care and our use of the highest quality evidence-based practice.

    The Therapeutic Service Worker plays a vital role in the Client Work Program (CWP). This position is

    responsible for monitoring the clients, the work procedures, and the products in the CWP Warehouse,

    Workshop, and Ceramics Room. This team member helps CWP ensure safety and efficiency.

    Successful candidates will be able to:

    - Demonstrate compassion and an ability to work in a trauma informed and recovery-based

    environment.

    - Demonstrate professional behavior to encourage and maintain a respectful and positive work

    environment for clients and provide education to clients on related topics when needed.

    - Creatively problem solve and think critically through difficult situations to form insightful strategies and

    to accomplish goals.

    - Follow directions well and learn the functions and safety features of CWP equipment.

    - Work independently and prioritize their time and responsibilities effectively.

    - Demonstrate an understanding of FTC and DMH policies and how CWP contributes to the facility’s

    mission.

    - Communicate effectively in person and electronically.

    - Document accurately and with clinical insight about client behavior.

    Knowledge, skills, & abilities needed:

    Knowledge of the nature of developmental, emotional, and/or physical disabilities and the rehabilitation

    needs of those affected. Knowledge of the principles of job analysis and work simplification as applied to those

    with vocational rehabilitation needs. Knowledge of production work processes and equipment used in the

    fabrication, assembly, and/or packaging of small articles. Knowledge of standard and adaptive office equipment.

    Qualifications

    High School diploma or equivalent and 1-3 years of related experience. (Associate’s Degree Preferred, but not

    required.)
