    Finance Budget Analyst Salary:

    $5,427.00 - $6,794.00 (A) per Month  

    $6,522.00 - $8,169.00 (B) per Month  

    Will Also Consider:  

    Analyst I Salary:

    $3,975.00 - $4,983.00 (L) per Month  
    $4,305.00 - $5,389.00 (M) per Month  
    $5,164.00 - $6,464.00 (N) per Month  

    Staff Finance Budget Analyst Salary:

    $7,527.00 - $9,354.00 per Month  

    *Salary Note: This position is eligible for an additional recruitment and retention pay differential (10% in the first year, and 15% in the second year).

    You will need to complete one of the two exams linked below to establish eligibility (please read exam bulletin in link provided to determine which eligibility you belong to):   

    Responsibilities:  

    • Assist the Governor’s administration in making important decisions that impact California’s State Budget. 
    • Review, analyze, and make recommendations on legislative bills.    
    • Collaborate with high-level government officials, legislative staff, and various stakeholders.   
  • Job Requirements

    • Four years of experience performing analytical, technical, clerical, and/or customer service duties. Academic education from an accredited college/university may be substituted for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.  
    • Knowledge of State Government  
    • Ability to meet strict deadlines and pivot tasks as needed
