    Job Location: This position will be located at 815 Olive, Suite 10G, St Louis, MO 63101.

    We are seeking an individual who is committed to the mission of keeping Missourian’s safe and healthy. This position is integral at supervising a team of Assessor Social Service Specialists within the Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) program. The goal of the HCBS program is to help participant’s remain as independent as possible in the least restrictive environment. This leadership position will ensure that the team is getting the right services to the right people at the right time, while ensuring the integrity of the Medicaid HCBS program. A person in this position will exemplify transformational leadership, collaborate with numerous professionals and constituents, and embrace public service.

    The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

    • Lead, motivate, and empower a team of approximately 6-8 Social Service Specialist Assessors over a multi-county area
    • Implement and sustain a culture of process improvement
    • Participate and network with an interdisciplinary team
    • Develop and coach team members to maximize skillsets and talents
    • Assume accountability and responsibility over the program requirements, integrity, operations and success
    • Travel within a multi-county area to conduct conferences, home visits, and attend hearings and training sessions with your team members, utilizing your personal vehicle when necessary


    Minimum Qualifications:

    • The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and communication skills, display high levels of commitment and accountability, exhibit the ability to inspire and motivate others, effectively lead change and transformation, demonstrate exceptional time management skills, and thrive when making independent decisions.
    • Prior experience with leadership, customer service, performance management, and HCBS programs is preferred.
    • Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience (substitutions may be allowed).
    • Three or more years of professional experience in criminal, civil or administrative investigations and/or the delivery or coordination of social, protective, medical, mental health, or rehabilitative services for senior or disabled adults, children, or families in a public or private agency, OR
    • A Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in social work or a closely related field and one or more years of professional experience.
