    Job Location: This position will be Telecommuter / Remote / Work from Home (when not inspecting facilities within Missouri).

    Why you’ll love this position:

    The Bureau of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is responsible for protecting the health, safety and welfare of the public by assuring that emergency medical services provided by ambulance services, emergency medical response agencies, training entities and EMS personnel meet the established standards.

    The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

    • Communicate with all stakeholders in a professional manner and perform additional tasks as directed by the Bureau Chief.
    • Have and maintain knowledge of Missouri EMS statutues/regulations related to EMS and NREMT Policies.
    • License personnel after approval with background check(s), proof of current certification card, and continued education hours with transcripts. (Only inspectors that are licensed paramedics shall approve the advance level continued education topics.)
    • Demonstrate professional written and verbal communication skills. Maintain accurate and complete files of incoming and outgoing EMS correspondence. Work with the License Management System, Elite Database, and other EMS software.
    • Perform service, agencies, and training entities site and virtual inspections. (Only paramedic licensed inspectors shall inspect advance level ambulance services.)

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree and 0-1 year of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed).
    • Current Missouri Paramedic license, AEMT license or EMT license;
    • Must possess a valid Missouri driver’s license, or equivalent license from another state. Must possess and maintain an acceptable driving record that meets the standards developed by the Missouri Department of Public Safety (DPS) and DHSS policies to operate vehicles.
    • A minimum of three (3) years active EMS field experience.

    Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
