    We are excited to introduce the Human Services Operations Supervisor role-a vital position within our Human Services Department. This role plays a key part in supporting our mission to strengthen families, empower youth, and foster community well-being.

    This position is based in Youth and Family Services, where we focus on behavioral health support, education, and community engagement.     About the Position

    The Human Services Ops Supervisor coordinates program activities that provide social and/or behavioral health services in conjunction with public, private sector and non-profit social service agencies and provides social services activities in for Parks, Recreation and Human Services Department work units.

    Youth and Family Services Assignment

    The Human Services Ops Supervisor provides professional level behavioral health outreach services through direct practice, case management, facilitation, and consultation for justice referred youth and adults.. Additional responsibilities include the coordination of prevention and intervention programs, contract services and community collaborations. The Human Services Ops Supervisor operates out of the Human Services department within the Community Services Division.

    Anticipated starting salary for this position may be up to mid-point depending on candidate’s experience and internal equity. The full salary range is listed above and mid-point for this position is $43.27/hour or $89,939.20/annually.

    The City of Scottsdale offers:

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education and Experience
    • A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Sociology, counseling or a closely related field from an accredited educational institution.
    • Four years' work experience in social work, psychology or counseling and experience coordinating a social or behavioral health service program.
    • At least 6 months of lead or supervisory experience.
    • Bilingual skills may be required for some positions.
    • Any equivalent combination of education and/or job-related experience that meets the minimum qualifications may be substituted.

    Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements
    • An Arizona Board of Behavioral Health License is required in counseling, social work or a closely related field (for Youth and Family Services assignment).
    • Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work.

    Other pertinent licenses and/or certifications may be required of some positions depending on division/department/section assignment.
