Staff Physician to provide high-quality, compassionate care in a collaborative primary care setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in OB-GYN or reproductive health and a passion for serving diverse populations. Bilingual in Spanish skills and knowledge of or experience working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) environment are highly preferred. Major Duties, Responsibilities- Provides comprehensive medical care in accordance with regulations and scope of practice for licensure in Arizona, State, Federal and other grant requirements, and the requirements of all payors.
- Examines patients and conducts appropriate tests to determine medical condition/health status, determines and implements treatment plans and/or refers patients to specialists and other medical facilities as needed.
- Supervises medical team, including review and co-signing of patient record entries by mid-level providers.
- Documents all medical services and patient interactions into the Electronic Health Record in accordance with department standards, all federal reporting requirements, (Uniform Data System), Meaningful Use criteria.
- Maintain an efficient patient workflow within the designated template.
- Meets Patient Centered Medical Home and standards of the quarterly Quality Improvement audits including in Chronic Medical Conditions such as Diabetes (DM) and Hypertension (HTN).
- Provides leadership and direction in the improvement of one of the Clinical Performance Measures and participates in the other Quality Improvement Program initiatives, as requested.
- Participates in on call duty, as required.
- Represents the department in community outreach events such as health screenings and physicals at Health Fairs, school sports physicals and community sports physicals.
- Responds to community emergencies with a public health consequence according to the department’s Emergency Response Plan.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Minimum QualificationsEducation:Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from an accredited medical school.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of residency/internship experience and one (1) year experience providing patient care in a clinical setting.
Licensure or Certifications:Active Arizona medical license and federal DEA license required.
Basic Life Support certification required.
Additional Requirements: Board certification in area of specialty or eligibility to obtain certification within one (1) year of hire.
Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.
Must possess a current fingerprint clearance card issued by the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
