Franklin has also served as a director of 14 public companies, four private companies, many not for profit organizations, and is Chairman Emerita of the National Association of Corporate Directors and of the Economic Club of New York. She has received numerous awards, and has been inducted into the NACD Directorship Hall of Fame, the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame, and the Financial Executives International Hall of Fame. Franklin was one of the first woman graduates of the Harvard Business School, and holds a B.A degree with Distinction from the Pennsylvania State University.
