Examples of Duties- Oversees team(s) who evaluate individuals experiencing behavioral health crises, determine appropriate interventions, and facilitate connections to critical resources
- Supports and evaluates the delivery of mental health interventions
- Responds to requests for in-field support and ensures effective coordination of services that reduce unnecessary engagement with the justice system
- Provides clinical supervision for team members
- Performs field-based comprehensive needs assessments
- Identifies applicable resources for individuals in crisis and submits referrals
- If certified, prepares Lanterman-Petris-Short (LPS) applications for individuals requiring holds for immediate 72-hour detention at a stabilizing facility
- Conducts verbal wellness checks on individuals showing signs of distress to assess the need for support or assistance
- Provides support in responding to medical emergencies on the Metro transit system by initiating contact with paramedic services, collecting information, providing logistical support, and administering NARCAN (naloxone), CPR, and/or first aid, as necessary.
- Prepares operational and performance reports
- Communicates and implements safety rules, policies, and procedures in support of the agency's safety vision and goals; and maintains accountability for the safety performance of all assigned employees

Minimum QualificationsA combination of education and/or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
Education- Master’s Degree in social work, psychology, marriage and family therapy, or related field
Experience- Six years of relevant experience or three years of relevant supervisory-level experience providing services to individuals with mental health conditions in either a clinical setting or as part of a field-based team
Certifications/Licenses/Special Requirements- A valid, current and unrestricted clinical license, such as Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW or LICSW), Psychologist (Psy.D.) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
