University Enterprises Corporation at CSUSB ("UEC") supports the university's educational mission by providing quality services that complement the instructional program. The University depends upon UEC to provide services that cannot be supported with state funds. We’re responsible for business enterprises on campus including, but not limited to, dining, bookstore, convenience store, and vending services. We also serve as the grantee for federal, state, and local funding for research and sponsored projects.

Position Summary

Temporary, Staff, Non-Exempt, Full Time, Benefited position through 6/30/2027 (Appointment may be renewed annually based upon availability of funds, availability of work and satisfactory job performance).

Salary: $4,900.00-$5,700.00 per month.

Location: CSUSB Campus and regional off campus sites as needed.

Work Schedule

40 hours per week. Typically 8:00AM to 5:00PM Monday through Friday. Schedule may require working irregular hours including evenings and weekends.

This position will remain open until filled.

Typical Activities

Under minimal supervision of the Faculty Lead, the Program Coordinator will work independently to:
  • Over see the planning, delivery, and assessment of the BEFAST cognitive training program across multiple sites.
  • Actively develop and maintain relationships with community and campus partners.
  • Supervise site leads, project interns and research assistants in support of program delivery and evaluation.
  • Recruit, train, and evaluate BEFAST research assistants and interns.
  • Attend meetings and at times lead meetings with project team members.
  • Carry out and follow research protocol.
  • Assist and support related ICDFR projects as needed.
  • Travel throughout the region to various sites as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Education:
    • Bachelors Degree in Child Development or related field.
  • Experience:
    • Experience in working with young adults in school settings.
    • Familiarity with cognitive assessment tools.
    • Experience in teaching and supervising research assistants and interns.
  • Other:
    • Have the ability to work with a diverse population including communication with people from diverse cultures, ethnic backgrounds, socio-economic levels, and educational levels.
    • Be skilled in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction.
    • Have the ability to write clear and concise reports.
    • Have the ability to work in a team setting.
    • Have the ability to handle multiple work priorities, organize work projects, and complete them in a timely manner.
    • Have strong oral and facilitation skills.
    • Have knowledge of operating standard office equipment and computer programs such as Microsoft Office (Access, PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and database management.
    • Possess willingness to work weekends and evenings as needed.
    • Possess willingness to travel based on program needs.

Preferred Qualifications
  • MA in child development or related field.
  • Knowledge of and experience in teaching developmentally appropriate practices.
