The Probation Department is seeking a Quality Improvement Coordinator to assist with the establishment of quality measures and provide ongoing oversight of project compliance to meet regulatory standards, including but not limited to, National Commission on Correctional Healthcare (NCCHC), Title 15, and other local, state and federal regulatory standards. Incumbents will analyze and interpret federal and state laws, regulations, current litigation, court orders, existing operations, and other directives to make recommendations for organizational or procedural changes; gather statistical data from the electronic health record and develop analytical reports to assist with the ongoing development of performance improvement; and monitor program goals and productivity statistics for state mandates.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Background: Successful candidates must not have been convicted of a felony and must successfully pass an extensive background investigation including a polygraph and live scan.
Travel/Driver License: Travel throughout the county may be required. Employees will be required to make provision for transportation. At the time of hire, a valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile liability insurance must be produced for the individual providing the transportation.
Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future
Policies: All incumbents are expected to adhere to all county and department-specific policies.
Minimum Requirements
Experience: Two (2) years of experience conducting Quality Improvement, Quality Management, and/or Quality Assurance activities in a correctional, clinical, or other healthcare setting.
-AND-
Education: A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Nursing, Criminal Justice, Public Health, or a closely related field.
Desired Qualifications
Experience utilizing TechCare EHR is highly desired.
