About This Position:
This position playsan important role in supporting DOTD's statewide Maintenance Management System (MMS), Agile Assets, and Plant Maintenance in LaGov. The incumbent helps ensure that maintenance activity data is accurate, consistent, and applied effectively in daily operations. This role requires a detail-oriented, technically skilled individual who can assist users, manage system processes, and support policy development that shapes maintenance standards across the state. The incumbent also contributes to developing DOTD's new Level of Service (LOS) method, which will guide future performance-based budgeting. Strong communication skills, analytical abilities, and a readiness to collaborate with statewide personnel are essential for success in this position.
While in official capacity, DOTD employees must comply with applicable Louisiana and Civil Services laws, rules and regulations, as well as DOTD policies, procedures, manuals, and directives.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of experience in the development, implementation, or administration of a transportation or safety program; or in engineering, architecture, geography, human resources, financial operations, information technology, risk management, policy planning, or administrative services; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field; OR
A bachelor's degree.
EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field.

Job Duties and Other Information
Job Duties:
- Manage Daily Agile Assets Operations: Oversees system activity, reviews work orders for accuracy, communicates updates to users, and ensures statewide maintenance work is consistently and properly reported.
- Provide Training and Technical Support: Assists personnel with Agile Assets use, identifies training needs, develops targeted training plans, and conducts sessions to resolve statewide deficiencies.
- Support Policy and Procedure Development: Collaborates with DOTD leadership to recommend updates to maintenance policies, activity descriptions, and MMS standards that directly affect district operations and reporting.
- Maintain and Enhance System Functionality: Provides support for the Mobile Work Manager app, assists in testing system updates, identifies needed improvements, and ensures LOS-related data from Agile Assets and LaGov is accurate.
Career Progression: This position may be filled as a as Program Specialist 1, 2, or 3 depending on the level of experience of the selected applicant(s).
Compensation: Below is the starting hourly rate for each level.
- Program Specialist 1 -1,348.80/ bi-weekly
- Program Specialist 2 -1,443.20/ bi-weekly
- Program Specialist 3 -1,652.00/ bi-weekly
