Insight Global is seeking Systems Test Engineers with VoIP expertise to support one of the nation's most impactful aviation modernization initiatives. This role supports a large-scale Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) program focused on transforming the voice communication systems that enable safe and efficient air traffic operations across the United States.
As a member of a highly collaborative engineering team, you will play a critical role in testing, validating, and deploying next-generation IP-based voice communication systems that directly support air traffic control operations. What You'll Be Doing
- Deploy, integrate, and test IP-based voice communication systems in lab and operational environments
- Develop and execute system-level test procedures in accordance with program requirements
- Create comprehensive test cases, document results, and analyze system performance
- Generate test reports, defect reports, and mitigation plans to drive issue resolution
- Partner closely with systems, software, and network engineering teams to validate system functionality
- Maintain Verification Requirements Traceability Matrix (VRTM) documentation
- Support customer demonstrations, site deployments, training events, and operational testing activities
- Travel to project sites to support implementations and ensure successful system integration
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related technical field
- 4+ years of systems test engineering experience supporting complex technical systems
- Hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and analyzing VoIP networks
- Understanding of IP networking concepts including routing, switching, protocols, and network architecture
- Experience developing and executing formal test plans and procedures
- Proficiency with Microsoft Windows environments, Linux (Oracle preferred), and virtual machine technologies
- Ability to travel up to 50% as needed for deployments, testing, and customer support activities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting FAA, DoD, or other federal/government programs
- Familiarity with voice communication systems, telecommunications infrastructure, or mission-critical communications
- Exposure to network analysis tools such as Wireshark
- Knowledge of requirements verification, validation, and traceability methodologies
