Principal Regulatory Data Analyst – FR Y-14 / 2052a
Our client, a leader in the financial services industry, has an excellent opportunity for a Principal Data Analyst with banking experience to work on a 6-month contract-to-hire position in Raleigh, NC, Charlotte, NC, or Phoenix, AZ. This is an excellent opportunity to join a sophisticated enterprise data organization driving high-impact data governance, regulatory reporting, and analytics initiatives.
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a W2 basis and convert to full-time permanent without visa sponsorship or transfer. For our W2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $69 - $72/hour W-2
Responsibilities:
- Lead enterprise initiatives to improve data quality, governance, reporting, analytics, data lineage, reconciliation, and regulatory reporting controls.
- Design and implement enhancements for enterprise data platforms, including profiling, exception reporting, issue resolution, dashboards, and business-critical reporting.
- Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to establish data governance policies, validation processes, and long-term data management strategies.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation including source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, lineage documentation, and Enterprise Data Warehouse materials.
- Provide strategic guidance and mentorship while helping drive adoption of modern data management, analytics, and regulatory data practices across the organization.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience in Data Management, Data Analytics, or Enterprise Risk Management, or a High School Diploma/GED with 12+ years of relevant experience.
- Banking and regulatory reporting experience, ideally involving one or more of FR Y-14Q, FR Y-14M, or FR 2052a.
- Strong hands-on SQL skills with experience writing complex queries for data analysis, validation, reconciliation, and reporting.
- Experience with enterprise data platforms and technologies such as Snowflake, AWS, Data Warehouses, Data Marts, lineage documentation, and ETL processes.
- Understanding of agile data product delivery across cross-functional teams using Scrum, SAFe, Kanban, or similar frameworks.
Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
