    Job Location: This position will be located at 3216 Emerald Lane, Suite B, Jefferson City, MO 65109.

    The Missouri Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing works with individuals, service providers, businesses, organizations, and state agencies to improve the lives and opportunities of all Missourians with hearing loss.

    • Manages the office. Acts as the receptionist for the Executive Director and MCDHH staff, manages and returns office calls, and opens all incoming correspondence.
    • Provides team support to all other positions and their program projects and initiatives.
    • Composes and types of memos, letters, and reports on various subjects. Proofreads correspondence and reports.
    • Manages the logistics, agenda, reports, and minutes of the Commission meetings. May provide basic informational research and prepare resultant reports relating to yearly budget reports and commission meetings.
    • Coordinates appointments and makes travel arrangements for the Executive Director, staff, and Commissioners.
    • Compiles and maintains appropriate employee records.
    • Provides information to the public on a variety of matters related to Commission operations and policies.
    • Prepares and distributes communications to staff and/or Commissioners and conveys requests and general information from the Executive Director to various agencies.
    • Receives and processes conference, training and testing registration and registrations submitted to MCDHH.
    • Participates in maintaining and updating MCDHH website information, online processes, and social media.
    • Provides or coordinates office orientation and training to all new staff personnel and coordinates special work assignments.
    • Prepares and submits reports on state vehicle and schedules maintenance appointment through the Fleet Management System.
    • Assists with preparing and hosting the MCDHH exhibit booth.
    • Demonstrate regular, reliable, and engaged attendance.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or high school equivalency
    • Three years of progressive and responsible secretarial work, including one year in an advanced level administrative clerical position.
