The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

    • Work with the Office on Women’s Health team to establish and implement several women's health programs, including maternal mortality prevention and sexual assault forensic exams.
    • Supervise the record abstraction and qualitative interview team for maternal mortality reviews.
    • Coordinate the Missouri Pregnancy Associated Mortality Review Committee, including leading meetings, maintaining the membership, reviewing records, and synthesizing findings into an annual report.
    • Provide consultation and technical assistance to contracted entities and coordinate women's health program activities with public health, social services, environmental, educational agencies, and other public and private entities while establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff, professionals and the general public.
    • Participate in state-level public interagency/private partnerships to promote interagency solutions to resolve local, community, and state-level problems.
    • Serve as a liaison and resource expert in sexual assault forensic nursing and women's health nursing for local, regional, state, and national health providers and policy-setting groups.
    • Monitor, interpret, synthesize, and disseminate relevant information associated with health and medical care changes, women's health nursing practice, legislative changes, and legal issues impacting women's health through research and data analysis.
    • Present effective education to individuals and groups using principles of adult learning.
    • Set standards, procedures, and quality assurance programs to ensure accountability.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • A bachelor of science in nursing degree and a minimum of three years supervisory nursing experience OR a master of science in nursing degree.
    • Five or more years working as a registered nurse in obstetrics, gynecology, labor and delivery, emergency department, and/or urgent care settings.
    • Must have, or be willing to obtain, a certificate as a Certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE-A) within the first year of starting the position.
    • Knowledge and ability to analyze and provide technical assistance on evidence-based nursing protocols, clinical practice guidelines, professional nursing standards, and federal and state laws pertaining to women's health services, sexual assault forensic exams, and maternal health.
    • Demonstrated experience working with various partners, including hospitals and communities and multiple levels of leadership.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Experience using technology and various computer programs (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, video-conferencing, and online survey platforms) for coordinating activities and project reporting.

Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
