HIRING SALARY RANGE: $54,308 - $61,172 (Estimated Annual Salary) OPEN UNTIL FILLED - APPLICATION REVIEW BEGINS IMMEDIATELYDuties and ResponsibilitiesPosition Expectations:This position will be engaged in processing development applications within a collaborative and team-oriented work environment while coordinating with a variety of stakeholders. Applicants must be able to effectively interpret site plans and other property records and possess the technical skills necessary to accomplish occupational tasks. Other duties may include site inspections, code compliance, participation in the Charleston County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) when activated, and special projects as needed.
Minimum QualificationsMinimum Requirements: This position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field. Applicants should be self-motivated, have an understanding of land use planning, land development processes, and site design concepts, and exhibit excellent interpersonal relation skills with the ability to convey verbal, written, and graphic communications in a professional manner. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required, and working knowledge of GIS, Bluebeam (or other digital plan review software), and Energov (or other permitting software) is preferred. Applicant must possess a valid South Carolina driver’s license.
