    ABOUT THE JOB:
    Deschutes County District Attorney’s Office is accepting applications for an Administrative Support Technician. This position provides customer service for our office via the front desk. Customer service will be provided in a variety of ways: in person, telephonic and electronic. Situations that are high pressured and/or confidential are to be handled professionally.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Provides information and assistance to customers, visitors, staff and others in-person and using multi-line phone system.
    • Queries and e nters data and other information into a computer system with speed and accuracy, and maintains electronic records, files, and databases.
    • Processes mail and documents.
    • Receives, reviews, identifies and processes legal documents.
    • Prepares and processes deposits.
    What You Will Bring:
    Knowledge of or experience with:
    • Principles and practices of digital management, accounting/bookkeeping, record keeping, case management, and records management.
    • Techniques for dealing with the public, in person and over the telephone.
    Skill in:
    • Performing a variety of clerical functions to support the District Attorney's Office.
    • Communicating effectively verbally and in writing.

    Compensation

    $4,063.84 to $5,445.98 per month for a 172.67 hour work month. Excellent County benefit package when eligible. This union-represented position is available immediately.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent;
    • AND two (2) years of administrative support experience;
    • OR any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience that provides the required skills and knowledge to perform the essential functions of the job.


    Necessary Special Requirements

    Driving is a requirement for this position. Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Oregon driver's license within 30 days of hire date. The employment offer will be contingent upon presentation of an acceptable and verifiable driver's license, pre-employment screening for criminal history, driving history, and controlled substances (NOTE: Positive test results for marijuana use may result in rescission of a contingent offer of employment). This screening must be completed with satisfactory findings in order for a formal offer of employment to be extended.
    Must have the ability to be to obtain a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) certification. Must be approved by the designated Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) through a fingerprint-based national and state criminal background check for access to Criminal Justice Information (CJI).
