A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering, Construction Management or other related field.
• Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in management of public works operations including at least five (5) years in a supervisory or administrative capacity, or an equivalent of training and experience.
• Valid Texas Driver’s License required.
• Must pass MVR check.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening.
Under the general supervision of the Public Works Director or their designee, the Assistant Director of Public Works supports the leadership and management of the Public Works Department which encompasses Water, Wastewater, Streets, Drainage, Traffic and Fleet. This role is responsible for implementing strategic initiatives and ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality services to residents of Prosper. This role will bring a balance of operational expertise and leadership capability to oversee the maintenance and operation of the Town’s infrastructure.
