This position is in the Research, Planning, and Process Improvement Section within the Office of the Director. - Coordinate and monitor project activities, ensuring deadlines, inputs, and outcomes are met across strategic and grant initiatives.
- Support efforts to streamline processes, refine workflows, and enhance effectiveness of departmental activities; conduct background research to inform projects.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and planning materials; contribute to departmental learning by supporting data collection and monitoring project measures.
- Maintain organized records and documentation for planning and grants activities; ensure accurate documentation and tracking of grant funds.
- Coordinates with stakeholders on grant reimbursements requests, invoices, and development and submission of required documents and reports.
- Provides administrative support to the section including scheduling meetings, producing minutes, meeting room set-up and supplies management.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Four or more years of experience in analysis, program or policy development, facilitation and coordination duties, budget/fiscal management, or probation and parole case management, corrections case management, or clerical experience at the level of Lead Administrative Support Assistant or above, or experience closely related to the above listed responsibilities.
(Earned credit hours from an accredited college or university may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required experience, at a rate of 30 credit hours for one year)
Preferred Qualifications/Skills Experience with SAMII and/or training in MOVERS
Advanced experience with use of Microsoft Suite, specifically in Excel.

- A $2.00 per hour shift differential if you are assigned to a shift that begins on or between 12:00pm (noon) and 5:00am and are employed at a 24/7 congregate care facility (i.e. institution, transition center, supervision center, or command center).
- A $0.75 per hour maximum security stipend if you work full-time at a qualifying facility.
- A $1.00 per hour restrictive housing stipend if you are assigned a regular post within a restrict housing/segregation unit at any facility.
The Department of Corrections currently offers a guaranteed 1% pay increase for every two years of continuous service up to 20 years!
