DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The City of Houston’s Housing and Community Development Department (HCDD) seeks to create a city in which every resident has an affordable home in a community where they can thrive. To achieve this vision, HCDD seeks an
Administration Manager to join its team. The person in this role leads the Single-family Loan Servicing (SFLS) daily operations. The individual provides training and guidance to various divisions and other city departments. The role will direct, develop, implement, and manage the SFLS's portfolio.
Candidates must be self-motivated, possess high accountability, exceptional communication skills, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, and advanced level with MS Office applications.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise employees at the section-level.
- Trains, and evaluates employees.
- Create policies and standard operational procedures.
- Develop productivity goals and monitor productivity reporting.
- Provides solution to complex loan servicing activities.
- Interprets at an advanced-level HUD-programmatic recapture requirement.
- Provides strategic solutions.
- Integrates technology to streamline processes.
- Represents the teams during meetings.
- Communicate the goals of upper management to front-line direct and in-direct reports and ensure those goals are met.
- Quantifies and evaluates various reports.
- Interfaces with departments and outside agencies or firms.

This is a grant funded position subject to cancellation when funds are depleted and/or contract period ends. WORKING CONDITIONS There are no major sources of discomfort, i.e., essentially normal office environment with acceptable lighting, temperature and air conditions.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Political Science, Psychology or a closely related field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Six years of pertinent, progressive professional experience in personnel, administration, accounting or a closely related field are required.
A Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or a field closely related to the work being performed may be substituted for two years of experience.
Directly related professional experience may be substituted for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
MINIMUM LICENSE REQUIREMENTS None.
