The Office of Administration is seeking a dedicated and organized individual to join our team as a State Coordinator for the Surplus and Recycling Program. This position plays a vital role in supporting statewide operations by retrieving, transporting, and managing state and federal assets for redistribution, auction, recycling, or disposal. The coordinator ensures assets are handled efficiently, safely, and in compliance with program and federal guidelines.

The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the individual selected or the position is eligible for a pay differential (e.g., shift, security, or years of service), it will be added to the total compensation in your paycheck. A pay differential does not raise your base pay.

    • Assist in maintaining warehouse appearance, safety standards, and equipment readiness (such as vehicles and forklifts).
    • Promote sustainability by encouraging the reuse of assets and proper recycling of materials statewide.
    • Travel statewide to pick up, deliver, or inspect property as needed.

    • Time management and prioritizing multiple tasks under deadlines.
    • Safe operation of vehicles and adherence to travel and transport regulations.
    • Work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accountability and accuracy.
    • Perform physical labor including lifting, loading, and moving items safely.
    • Adapt to changing priorities and schedules, including occasional evening or overnight travel.
    • Interpret and apply property and recycling program policies consistently.
    • Represent the Surplus and Recycling Program professionally when interacting with other state and federal agencies.
