    Staff Development/Quality Improvement Nurse

    2041 E. Hunter Street, Nevada, MO

    Semi Monthly Salary: $3,333.34 (Pay Grade N4)

    The Missouri Department of Mental Health has an opening for a Staff Development/Quality Improvement Nurse (working title) at Southwest Community Services located in Nevada. The classified job title for this position is Registered Nurse Specialist/Supervisor and has no supervisory job duties.

    The working hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., but flexibility in work schedule will be required at times, in order to provide training oversight across all work shifts.

    Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for administering and coordinating training for Insulin administration, Level One Medication Aide training, Medication Administration Recert training, and training of new employees to include topics such as infection control. This position will also assist with Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and First Aid training. In addition, this position will assist with the Electronic Health Care Records system, oversee nursing delegations and assist with emergency drills. This position is supervised by the Nurse Manager.

    Knowledge, skills and abilities: The SD/QI Nurse position will be responsible for ensuring training requirements are met and quality training is administered in the areas of Health Care for all employees. This aids in providing quality care to the consumers that we provide services to.

    Typical qualifications:

    Licensure as a Registered Nurse and 2-4 years of experience as a registered nurse.
