Job Summary Mohave County Elections Department is looking to hire an Elections Technician located in Kingman, AZ. We are located at 700 W. Beale Street, Kingman, AZ. About Us The Elections Department is the operating arm of the Board of Supervisors fulfilling the responsibilities of election administration. Mohave County has the fifth largest number of registered voters in the State of Arizona and the population of the county is growing with the rest of Arizona. The Mohave County area serves almost 170,000 registered voters encompassing two congressional and two legislative districts.

Elections Technician -> Starting Salary, $23.26/hr. - Must pass drug screen post offer.
- Work Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
- Work on weekends and holidays is highly likely and will be required when necessary, during election cycles.
- Primarily in Elections warehouse with moderate to strenuous manual labor as well as office environment with Elections.
- Shall possess or obtain within 24 months of appointment an "Election Officers Certificate" as issued by the Secretary of the State in accordance with ARS 16-407.
Essential Job Functions- Prepares and packs election supplies for delivery to all Mohave County voting locations.
- Coordinates delivery and retrieval of voting devices and supplies to and from varying external locations throughout the County.
- Maintain detailed equipment maintenance records in an electronic format.
- Perform electronic poll book maintenance, testing and software updates.
- Perform electronic voting equipment maintenance, testing and field preparation.
- Maintains inventory control of voting supplies and materials.
- Assists in the maintenance and disposition of elections materials as required by state statutes.
- Inspects locations of new polling places for adequate facilities.
- Drives an emergency call car (county vehicle) on election days in response to calls for repair of voting devices and replenishing precinct supplies.
- Performs physical count of stock items.
- Maintains a clean work area.
- Train part-time warehouse staff in election materials preparation and Election Day trouble shooter duties.
- Survey and record polling site locations, and potential polling site locations, for ADA compliance requirements.
- Keep thorough and accurate records for current and potential polling site locations.
Minimum Qualifications Required Minimum Education, Experience, and Training: - Associates’ Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration or related field.
- Two (2) year of experience in administrative/project management work.
- OR an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities may be considered in meeting the minimum qualifications.

- Work independently in completing assigned tasks and in maintaining inventory.
- Fulfill all physical requirements of the class.
