JOB SUMMARYThe Town of Prosper is currently seeking qualified and dedicated individual for the position of:
System Technician Hiring Salary Range: $44,818.15 - $51,540.87 Retirement Benefits (TMRS), 2-to-1 Match Medical, Dental, and Vision Benefits Effective Within the First 35 days of Employment Flex Scheduling Opportunities Tuition Reimbursement Wellness Benefits Training & Continuing Education Opportunities Qualifications:Any combination of experience and training that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years computer database and/or troubleshooting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Prior experience operating a SCADA system preferred.
• Must be familiar with TCEQ regulations covering Public Water Systems and Wastewater Collection Systems.
• Must be familiar with SCADA systems, instrumentation and controls, equipment and facilities common to the Water and Wastewater industries, and their principles of operation.
• Must possess or can obtain at least a Class II Wastewater and Class C Water Distribution Certification.
• Must possess a valid State of Texas Driver’s License.
The System Technician monitors, operates, and maintains the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system to ensure the effective operation of the Town’s Water Distribution and Wastewater Collection Systems. Performs daily field inspections, collects and records operational data, and ensures compliance with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) regulations and minimum operating standards.
