The Role:The Strategy & Research Analyst supports the Strategy and Research team by transforming data into clear insights that inform decisions across Marketing, Sales, Public Relations, and Las Vegas Convention Center operations. This role involves locating, compiling, and interpreting information from multiple sources to produce accurate, actionable reports that support data-informed decision-making for leadership and partner departments.

- Develop Insights from Data : Collect, analyze, and present tourism and convention data at the local, national, and global levels, ensuring accuracy and clarity.
- Support Business Reporting : Use business intelligence tools such as Excel, Power BI, and Tableau to organize and visualize data that supports departmental initiatives.
- Research and Compile Industry Information : Maintain current knowledge of hotel, convention, and tourism industry trends and terminology; track key metrics for hotel inventory, meeting space, and convention activity.
- Assist with Projects and Requests : Manage a steady flow of research assignments and ad hoc data requests from internal teams and partners, reprioritizing as needed to meet deadlines.
- Collaborate Across Departments : Build strong working relationships with internal teams, hotel partners, destination stakeholders, and other agencies to ensure consistent, credible reporting.
- Ensure Data Accuracy and Confidentiality : Handle proprietary and confidential data responsibly while maintaining a high level of accuracy and professionalism.
What We’re Looking For- Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, statistics, or related quantitative field preferred; high school diploma required.
- Strong analytical thinking with attention to detail.
- Proficient in using Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools; familiarity with CRM or CMS systems a plus.
- Clear, confident communicator with strong organizational skills.
- Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver timely, accurate results.
- Works independently and as part of a team; maintains professionalism, discretion, and a positive, inclusive approach consistent with the LVCVA’s “Vegas for All” value.
