Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties And Responsibilities: Positions are available on our, Drainage Construction Crew. See below for a general description of each.•Drainage Construction - The primary responsibilities of this role include the construction, maintenance, and repair of stormwater infrastructure such as boxes and culverts, as well as concrete and masonry work including curbs, gutters, sidewalks, slabs, and brick laying. Additional duties include assisting with hydro-seeding, dressing up construction sites by spreading grass seed and raking, mixing concrete, performing concrete flat work, and supporting all aspects of construction operations.
Key Responsibilities:•Construct forms using wood as needed.
•Construct junction boxes and other structures as directed by the foreman.
•Mix mortar and lay block/brick as required.
•Pour concrete flatwork and other concrete structures as directed by the foreman
•Operate power and hand tools, equipment, and vehicles safely and efficiently.
•Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in clean, functional condition.
•Promptly report any damages, malfunctions, or safety concerns to the foreman or team leader.
•Load and unload tools and equipment daily for transportation to and from job sites, ensuring they are always secured to prevent damage, loss, or theft.
Minimum Qualifications•High school diploma (or GED)
•Ability to comprehend and execute written and verbal instructions
•Willingness to provide good customer service
•Ability to safely operate hand tools and power equipment using proper PPE
•Assist with preventative maintenance of equipment and vehicles
•Maintain a clean and safe crew area; as well as other related duties as assigned
•Must be safety-minded and be able to work well in a demanding, team-oriented environment
•Ability to lift 100 lbs.
•Reliable transportation to get to work
•Valid SC Driver’s License.
•Available to report to work during hazardous weather or emergency conditions
