  • Job Description

    The Job

    The Purchasing Department is recruiting for a Printing Services Supervisor who supervises and coordinates the daily operations and staff within the department. Duties include organizing and scheduling jobs; evaluating printing requests; providing assistance to customers to ensure that service is responsive to department needs and deadlines; implementing operating procedures and evaluating work performance; analyzing processes and defining job costing and production data inputs; meeting with vendors of materials and equipment for information and estimates; and providing input for the budget regarding staffing, equipment and supplies.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

    Travel throughout the County may be required to carry out the essential job-related functions of this position . Employees will be required to make provision for transportation. At the time of hire, a valid California Class C driver license and proof of automobile insurance must be provided for the individual providing the transportation.

    Minimum Requirements

    CANDIDATES MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING REQUIREMENT:

    EXPERIENCE

    Two (2) years of full-time equivalent experience operating and maintaining a wide range of printing and related equipment using workflow management software which includes pre and postproduction quality control -AND- one (1) year of experience in a supervisory or lead capacity performing hiring, training, evaluations and disciplinary actions.
