    Position Summary:

    Leads the design and implementation of creative recruitment & sourcing strategies in order to attract, screen, recruit and select highly qualified diverse candidates to fill Physician and & Mid-Level Provider opportunities and other classifications as assigned. Responsible for utilizing multiple resources, including but not limited to social media, job boards, professional organizations, direct marketing campaign leads, networking, and other applicable sources, to source, recruit, interview, qualify, and hire candidates into our organization. This position is responsible for creating recruitment networks and pipelines to ensure our applicant pools are diverse.

    Job Requirement

    Education/Experience:

    Equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, human resources management, healthcare administration, or other related field, and five (5) years of demonstrated experience in full-cycle recruiting, with two (2) of those years specifically recruiting Physicians & Non-Physician Providers within the last two years. (UMC reserves the right to consider additional recruitment experience in lieu of Physician & Non-Physician provider experience).

    Licensing/Certification Requirements:

    None.

    1. Experience working at a third-party recruitment agency, filling management-level roles.
    2. Experience designing or administering Physician & Mid-Level Provider Compensation plans.
    3. Experience in creative sourcing strategies using a diverse set of resources and strong negotiation skills.
    4. Ability to work independently & be accountable; you push yourself and don't give up until you find that purple squirrel.
    5. Highly organized and have the ability to multitask.

    Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Physical Requirements

    Knowledge of:

    Principles and practices of human resources administration with an in-depth knowledge in the functional area to which assigned; relevant Federal, state and county laws and regulations; basic data sampling and statistical analysis techniques; computer applications related to duties; project management and analytical techniques.; principles and techniques of preparation of effective written informational and educational materials; department and hospital safety practices and procedures; patient rights; infection control policies and practices; department and hospital emergency response policies and procedures.

    Skill in:

    Interpreting, applying and explaining applicable laws, regulations and codes; acting as lead on a project or team assignment; providing professional analytical and programmatic work; carrying assigned project(s) through, from data gathering to completion; using tact, discretion and prudence in dealing with issues and people contacted in the course of duties; making effective oral presentations to small and large groups; using initiative and independent judgement within general policy guidelines; use of computer software/applications related to duties; maintaining accurate records and files; preparing clear and concise reports, correspondence and other written materials; contributing effectively to the accomplishment of team or work unit goals, objectives and activities; communicating effectively with a wide variety of people from diverse socio-economic and ethnic backgrounds; establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with all personnel contacted in the course of duties; efficient, effective and safe use of equipment.

    Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

    Mobility to work in a typical office setting or hospital work site setting for training purposes, use standard office equipment and manipulate training equipment, stamina to stand and present training sessions; vision to read printed materials and VDT screens, hearing and speech to communicate effectively in person and over the telephone. Strength and agility to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or an eligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
