    A Customer Service Representative I job is available with the City of Fort Worth Property Management Department. The Property Management Department consists of four divisions including Facilities Management, Fleet Services, Real Property and General Services. Property Management is a large, fast-paced, and rewarding department that is responsible for a wide array of services including: maintenance of the majority of City facilities, maintaining the City's fleet, land and property acquisitions including right-of-way and easement acquisitions. The Department is seeking to hire a qualified professional Customer Service Representative I to warmly greet and assist visitors at City Hall.

    Minimum Qualifications:
    • High school diploma/GED and no previous experience required.
    • Valid Texas driver's license
    • CJIS clearance

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Knowledge of effective methods and techniques of customer service, including critical thinking, ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, and respond to requests and inquiries from visitors.
    • Knowledge of principles and practices of data entry and record keeping, including the ability to maintain and update a variety of accurate files, records and reports.
    • Knowledge of modern office procedures, methods and equipment including computers and knowledge of MS Office software.
    • Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) preferred.

    The Customer Service Representative l job responsibilities include:
    • Greet all visitors entering City Hall with quality customer service.
    • Serve as the initial point of contact for all visitors' questions and concerns
    • Validate visitors for meetings with designated City staff in all City Departments
    • Escort visitors to their destination at the building, including assistance to access each floor
    • Assist with the registration of visitors and maintain and update visitor logs and records daily
    • Respond to customer inquiries and complaints in a timely and efficient manner, resolve problems within area of assignment, explain applicable policies and procedures to visitors and enforce adherence, as required

    Working Conditions and Physical Demand

    Depending on assignments, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking and repetitive motions.

    Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, a negligible amount of force frequently, and/or or constantly having to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

    Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position: Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A Misdemeanor Conviction, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions in the last 10 years, Class A Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication in the last 10 years, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and ALL Family Violence Convictions regardless of class.

    Medical Program

    Vacation

    Wellness Program

    The city’s Healthy Challenge Wellness Program rewards all full-time, benefit-eligible employees on the city’s health insurance. The Healthy Challenge Program utilizes a points system. Participants may earn points throughout the year (Jan. 1-Dec. 15) for completing specific program activities and participants can redeem points at the end of the year for a cash reward. By participating, individuals can earn $150, $200 or $250 by accumulating program points.
