Job Description:Purpose:Under general supervision serves as a subject matter expert related to continual improvement activities which includes quality assurance, process improvement and risk mitigation activities within the organization.
Duties, Functions and Responsibilities:Essential duties and functions, pursuant to the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include the following. Other related duties may be assigned.
- Supports projects related to the development of improvement of organizational programs, processes, and systems.
- Uses quality assurance methodologies to assist with current state analysis assessments.
- Conducts continuous improvement projects for business units within the organization.
- Supports risk mitigation evaluations to improve organizational performance.
- Conducts assessments of organizational systems and processes.
- Supports project teams and organizational change efforts.
- Conducts continual improvement training.
- Supports the organizations quality center of excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:- Graduation with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in a field related to the job, plus three (3) of experience related to the job.
- Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certification may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
Licenses and Certifications Required: Preferred Qualifications :- Experience in organizing and tracking data reports.
- Advanced skill in researching and resolving data and process issues.
- Expertise in delivering timely, thorough, and constructive feedback and guidance.
- Experience in identifying and documenting technical requirements.
- Experience managing IT projects and application support and development.
- Experience with development, planning, and/or engineering.
- Experience using the City of Austin’s AMANDA system.
Notes to Candidate:The Right of Way Management Division with Austin Transportation and Public Works is seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Consultant to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our data and business processes, as well as supporting the technical proficiency of our team members. This position also contributes to the growth and improvement of our core business functions by meticulously documenting and tracking technical issues and process changes. Division functions include right of way permitting, inspection, enforcement, traffic control plan review, utility coordination, and project coordination.
The ideal candidate is a focused, independent worker who takes initiative, possesses strong analytical and communication skills, is passionate about ensuring data and process integrity and supporting team development, and has a trouble-shooter mindset.
Pay Rate: $71,630 - $90,980 annually.
Location: Permitting and Development Center - 6310 Wilhelmina Delco Drive, Austin, TX 78752
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm.
Hours may vary depending on departmental needs and initiatives.
