  • Job Description

    Full-time position available with the Housing & Community Development Department, Housing Trust Division located at 414 East 12th Street
    Salary Range: $4,619/month
    Normal Work Days/Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. with possible work outside of normal hours. Telework available One day a week, after successful six-month probationary period, at department director's discretion.

    Responsibilities

    • Facilitates and manage written agreements between contractors and the City of Kansas City for services funded through local and federal programs.
    • Ensures all contracts comply with City procurement, contracting, and regulatory requirements.
    • Conducts compliance monitoring and oversight of contracted entities to ensure responsible financial stewardship of program funds.
    • Process and review invoices and reimbursement requests associated with the Housing Trust Fund portfolio.
    • Collects, analyze, and report quantitative and qualitative data to evaluate and demonstrate program effectiveness.
    • Coordinates and administer meetings with internal and external stakeholders related to Housing Trust Fund activities.
    • Prepares detailed, accurate, and high-quality written reports for Department leadership on Housing Trust Fund operations and outcomes.
    • Collaborates with intra- and inter-departmental teams to advance the City's housing and community development goals.
    • Promotes professionalism, courtesy, and effective communication in all interactions representing the City of Kansas City.
    • Performs related duties as assigned.



    Qualifications

    REQURIES an accredited Bachelor's degree and 3 years professional experience in business or public sector administration to include at least 2 years performing administrative and/or supervisory work involving more complex projects or programs; OR an equivalent combination of qualifying education and experience with at least 2 years performing administrative and/or supervisory work involving more complex projects or programs

    Positions requiring a high school diploma/GED certificate must be obtained from a school/program accredited by the Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.

    The minimum education requirement for positions that allow for experience equivalency for an accredited degree is a high school diploma. Unless otherwise specified, an accredited degree must be obtained from a college or university listed with the U.S. Department of Education and recognized by the U.S. Secretary of Education.
    For positions with a salary grade of EX6 or higher that require an accredited degree, qualifying professional experience must be obtained AFTER the accredited degree is obtained.
    Successful completion of a pre-employment criminal history/background check is required for all positions. Some positions require a post offer drug screen and/or physical.

    If appointed, non-residents must obtain residency inside Kansas City, Missouri's city limits within nine months.
