    Job Summary

    Performs responsible skilled and supervisory work involving the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical, plumbing, and air-conditioning and heating systems. Work performed requires considerable trade knowledge in the area of air-conditioning and heating systems . Work is performed under the general supervision of the Facility Operations Manager. Performance is reviewed through conferences, periodic inspections of work, and performance of systems.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    High School Diploma/G.E.D. Certificate and four (4) or more years experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair in heating and air-conditioning systems , some of which must have been in a supervisory capacity; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Valid Florida Driver's License required. Master Level Competency Card in either electrical or plumbing trades or Class A Competency Card in the mechanical trade required.

    If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
    • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
    • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
    • Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree; or
    • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
