Guy Parsons is a well-regarded speaker, teacher who regularly delivers inspiring talks at MIT and to leaders involved in YPO (Young Presidents Organization) and EO (Entrepreneur Organization). Hal Eastman has enjoyed a thirty-year business career, starting with Boeing and Ford Motor Companies and later holding management and leadership positions in industries as diverse as printing, forest products, chemicals, power generation, biotechnology, scientific supplies, and wireless communications. During this time, he was president of two large public companies, Fisher Scientific and McCaw Cellular (today AT&T Wireless), and founder of two small businesses. He has since enjoyed an arts career specializing in dance photography, including the publication of three books, Natural Dance, Dancessence, and Dream Riders (see www.haleastman.com).

Born and raised in Rochester, New York, I grew up reading everything from Magic Treehouse to Sarah Dessen to Jane Austen, and writing in every form possible. These days, you'll find me in Michigan writing blogs, social media posts, and designing digital identities. I graduated with a degree in Professional Writing with a focus on Digital and Technical Writing from Michigan State University. I also earned a minor in Environmental and Sustainability Studies. My minor allowed me to continue to pursue a passion for the environment and Earth's well-being, while my Professional Writing classes helped me hone my craft as a communicator. Jack Payne is the Senior Vice President for Agriculture and Natural Resources at the University of Florida. Appointed senior vice president in June, 2010, Payne is the administrative head of the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences (IFAS) which includes the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences, the School of Natural Resources and the Environment, the School of Forest Resources and Conservation, elements of the College of Veterinary Medicine, the Florida Agricultural Experiment Station, 13 Research and Education Centers throughout Florida, and the Florida Cooperative Extension Service with offices in each of the state’s 67 counties. Prior to his current position he served as the Vice President for Extension and Outreach at Iowa State University and before that was the Vice President and Dean for University Extension at Utah State. Jack also has experience at two other land-grant institutions: Pennsylvania State University, where he served on the faculty of the School of Forest Resources, and, later, at Texas A&M University, where he served as a faculty member in the Fisheries and Wildlife Department. After leaving Texas A&M University, Payne had a long career with Ducks Unlimited (DU), as their National Director of Conservation. While at Ducks Unlimited, some of his successes included the development of DU’s private lands program with agriculture, the development of a national conservation easement program and the expansion of their Mexican program to Central and South America. Payne received his M.S. in Aquatic Ecology and his Ph.D. in Wildlife Ecology from Utah State University and is a graduate of the Institute for Educational Management at Harvard University. He is a tenured professor in the Department of Wildlife Ecology and Conservation at the University of Florida. Jack currently is the Chair of the Policy Board of Directors for the Board on Agriculture Assembly, Association of Public and Land-grant Universities.

Jacquelyn Brookins is the Human Resources and Recruiting Manager for RPI Group, Inc, a government contractor with an expertise in systems engineering and cybersecurity support. Jacquelyn joined RPI in February 2016 to return to her passion of finding the best possible folks to represent her organization and take care of the current employees. Her first taste of HR was through summer internships during high school working in the Human Resources department for one of the largest unions. Even through college while waiting tables, Jacquelyn facilitated new employee orientations and corporate trainings for local and regional staff. Halfway through college Jacquelyn selected Integrative Studies with a Concentration in Elementary Education as her major and graduated in 2009 with her Bachelor’s degree. While she had her sights set on being a teacher, she entertained an offer for an HR Intern position with a defense contractor, and instantly fell in love with the fast-paced environment. That internship quickly turned into a full time Recruiting Coordinator position where she was able to learn the ropes of recruiting and human resources and enhance the recruiting program for years to come. Jacquelyn also spent four years working for an online university, with a job emphasis of connecting student veterans to viable career opportunities with defense contractors and government agencies. Jacquelyn’s steadfast commitment to her mission at the university opened new doors for their veteran population through unique partnerships with government agencies. Jacquelyn has a passion for helping people and nothing makes her happier than seeing good people land jobs they are truly excited about, especially when she is the one hiring them!
