On October 10, 2017, almost 500 separate meetings were held between some of the most talented subcontractors in the Los Angeles area and local business owners and representatives to enhance opportunities and create exciting connections that will be a part of the future of Los Angeles International Airport.

This impressive Business Outreach event, held at The Proud Bird Grand Ballroom, was host to more than 650 attendees who were introduced to the details and phases surrounding upcoming projects included in the $14 billion capital improvement program that is currently underway at LAX. In support of Los Angeles World Airports’ (LAWA) commitment to diversity and inclusiveness, the event provided the platform for local companies to feature their extensive qualifications in individual meetings with proposing teams and select firms involved with the projects.

According to LAWA Chief Development Officer Bob Gilbert, “Events such as these are essential to LAX’s development program as they provide another opportunity to our local businesses to get involved with the significant ongoing and future projects at the airport.” By involving local talent in various aspects of this multi-billion dollar endeavor, LAWA hopes to ensure that opportunities for success, both now and in the future, are available to a wide range of members of the Los Angeles Community.

A number of exciting projects were featured at the event, including:
