    Job Summary

    This position provides full administrative support to the PSS staff, supports PSS functions, such as building operations, work order review, coordination, reconciliation, training, project management support, leadership, winter break and summer housing, special event coordination, student assistant program and other duties as assigned.

    Department Summary

    University Housing, a unit within the Division of Student Affairs, consists of Facilities Operations, Housing Administration, Custodial Operations, Diversity and Inclusion, and Residential Student Experience. University Housing provides a premier living and learning experience for over 8800 students in residence hall and apartment-style communities. University Housing’s mission is to create a diverse and engaging experience that inspires all residents to Learn by Living.

    Key Qualifications
    • Monitor and drive completion of work orders, service requests, call backs and email correspondences, maintaining an eye on accuracy, timeliness, professionalism, tracking, and completeness within an open office environment.
    • Perform the monthly or ad-hoc collection and organization of facility damage charges, collaborating with relevant UH departments or other campus partners to ensure accurate and timely billing to student accounts.
    • Oversee the daily management and maintenance of key and access control for UH’s footprint, working collaboratively with IT, FMD, UH leadership and any other campus partners or outside vendors to ensure operational functionality and accuracy, including routine key core changes, issuance tracking and collection of temporary keys or card, reporting, and as needed, audits of all key boxes, performing follow-up corrective measures as required.
    • Create, maintain and as needed, provide training for the departmental access control systems and inventory programs as it relates to any UH access devices, keys, or lock boxes.
    • Learn, operate, troubleshoot and evolve processes for software and hardware which support daily department activities. Act as first line of technical support for staff and residents, collaborating with campus partners or vendors as needed to achieve solutions.

    Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or its equivalent. Type 45 wpm. Four years of general office support experience. (Training at a vocational school or full-time college education may be substituted for two years of the required experience on the basis of one year of college education for 6 months of experience).

    Salary and Benefits

    Anticipated Hiring Range: $46,376 - $56,624 Per Year

    Classification Range: $46,368 to $72,864 per year

    Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Anticipated Hiring Range referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Classification Range may be broader than what the University anticipates paying for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
