    The Job

    San Bernardino County is recruiting for IT Technical Assistants I to perform a variety of technical and administrative duties in support of staff and managers engaged in systems analysis, design, support, and implementation. Duties include developing training manuals and user guides; tracking, inventorying and disposing of hardware/software; providing end-user hardware/software support; preparing and reconciling reports; researching and testing hardware/software solutions; and documenting IT procedures.

    The resulting list may be used to fill vacancies throughout the County as they occur.

    CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

    Pre-Employment Process: Applicants must pass a background investigation, which includes fingerprinting, work history & education check, as well as a job-related physical exam and drug screening.
    Sponsorship: San Bernardino County is not able to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship at the time of application or in the future.

    Minimum Requirements

    Experience: Two (2) years of experience using the advanced features of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat in support of professional staff.

    Advanced experience must be clearly indicated in the Supplemental Questionnaire and Work Experience section of the application.

    Desired Qualifications

    • Experience supporting website development, including content development, support, implementation, and maintenance.
    • Customer service environment providing (IT) technical support for computerized systems.
    • SharePoint, Visio, Adobe Photoshop/Image Ready and/or Illustrator experience.
