    JOB SUMMARY
    The Salesforce Platform Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, configuration, and support of the Salesforce platform, including system integrations and administration. This position performs advanced hands-on Salesforce development and administration and provides technical and analytical guidance to team members. The Technical Lead works closely with business users and Information Services staff to improve application functionality, support business processes, and lead integration efforts with other enterprise systems.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Leads the design, configuration, and development of Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and APIs.
    • Performs advanced Salesforce administration, including user management, permission sets, object model design, flows, validation rules, and security settings.
    • Develops and supports integrations between Salesforce and other enterprise systems such as Infor IPS using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware platforms.
    • Provides technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers, enforces development standards, and reviews deliverables for quality and consistency.
    • Collaborates with business units and product owners to gather requirements and translate them into scalable and supportable technical solutions.
    • Oversees the implementation of changes and enhancements to Salesforce solutions, including testing, deployment, and documentation.
    • Supports incident management, troubleshooting, and resolution of issues related to Salesforce functionality or integrations.
    • Evaluates new Salesforce features, AppExchange products, and architectural approaches to recommend enhancements.
    • Maintains DevOps procedures and version control to ensure source code integrity and safe deployment to production.
    • Provides on-call support as required.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.


    DECISION MAKING

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR ALL SPECIALTIES
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field from an institution accredited by a nationally recognized accrediting agency.
    • Five years’ of progressive experience in Salesforce Service cloud development and administration, integrating Salesforce with third-party systems using APIs, and working with technology frameworks and components such as Lightning, Apex, Visualforce, Developer console, SQL and SOQL including two years’ experience leading technical development and mentoring junior developers.


    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
    • Master’s Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field of study from an accredited college or university.
    • Salesforce Platform Developer and Administrator certifications.
    • Experience with Infor IPS billing system or similar ERP applications.
    • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD tools.
    • Knowledge of integration platforms and event-driven architecture.
    • Agile or Scrum project delivery experience.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS
    Working conditions are primarily inside an office environment with travel to various locations on an occasional basis. Physical requirements include occasional lifting/carrying of 15 pounds; visual acuity, speech and hearing; hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer keyboard and basic office equipment. Subject to sitting, standing, reaching, walking, twisting, and kneeling to perform the essential functions.

    May be required to work hours other than regular schedule such as nights, weekends, and holidays.
