UC Santa Barbara seeks an experienced, inspirational, and community service-oriented leader as Chief of Police. With dual reporting to the Chancellor and Administrative Services Vice Chancellor, the Chief is a key member of the campus's management team and is responsible for the overall success of the university's Police Department. The new Chief will lead the management of UC Santa Barbara's human and physical resources in a way that promotes and supports the department's vision, mission, and core values. The Chief will be a key steward in the allocation of resources, working collaboratively with colleagues to effectively manage competing, and often changing, operational priorities in a way that is consistent with UC Santa Barbara's academic mission, commitment to inclusion and access, and its aspirations.
The budgeted salary range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is $184,800 - $340,000/year.
