City of Wheat Ridge

The City of Wheat Ridge was incoporated in 1970 and operates under a Home Rule City Council-City Manager Charter law form of government.  The City Manager is appointed by the City Council and Mayor to function as the chief administrator of the City.  The City Council sets the policy directions for the City and the CIty Manager is charged with implementing those directions.  Also, the City Manager communicates wioth the City Council keeping them informed of City operations, the annual budget and special projects within the various departments.
