This is a flexibly-staffed series, which allows incumbents to flex to the Wastewater Treatment Plant Specialist after obtaining the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Grade II Certificate. The probationary period for employees in this classification shall be up to eighteen (18) months, at the discretion of management. An employee in this series must serve a minimum one (1) year probationary period. Employees in this classification must obtain the Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Grade II Certificate within eighteen (18) months of appointment.
