Salary: $75,691.20 - $132,662.40 Annually

Plans, coordinates, supervises and evaluates the work of a staff of technicians in the technical systems unit.
FLSA STATUS: Exempt
Working Conditions: May work shifts on days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Education and Work Experience: Equivalent to a High School Diploma/GED and five (5) years of full-time complex electro-mechanical systems experience, two (2) years of which include supervisory experience.
Licensing and Certification: Must possess and maintain a valid Class C driver's license at the time of appointment.
Background Investigation: Employment with the Regional Transportation Commission in this position is contingent upon successful completion of a comprehensive background investigation, including qualifying education/experience verification, social security trace, criminal history records review, driving history records check, and a personal credit history review.
Medical Examination: Employment is contingent upon the results of a physical examination performed by our examining physician. A pre-employment drug test is part of the examination.

• Preventative and corrective maintenance experience with electro-mechanical systems, such as revenue collection equipment, camera and communication systems and CAD/AVL equipment.
• Experience with wiring, installations and troubleshooting of low voltage systems and electronic equipment including Ethernet and low voltage cabling.
• Implementation and daily use of asset management systems including tracking, trending and life cycle analysis.
• Experience with specification development, contract oversight, project management and administration.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, regulations and safety practices.
Physical ability to perform duties in a typical office environment; stamina to stand and walk for extended periods of time; strength to lift and maneuver materials and equipment weighing up to 100 pounds with proper equipment; vision to read printed materials; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone. This classification is designed as "safety sensitive". This designation requires the incumbent to agree to random drug and alcohol testing, reasonable suspicion drug and alcohol testing, and post-accident drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and United State Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations (49 CFR 40 & 655 as amended).
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES:
Coordinates, assists, plans, organizes, assigns and supervises the work of assigned transit equipment maintenance staff. Creates and reviews maintenance reports and performs trend analysis and tracks preventative and corrective maintenance. Prepares and outlines work scope and monitors contracts and contractors during installation and testing of technical equipment. Coordinates and schedules activities to ensure efficient and effective service. Monitors employee and unit performance to ensure quality customer service; develops strategies and recommendations to improve reliability, efficiency and enhance customer service. Coordinates with RTC contractors to plan, formulate, schedule installations, and determine maintenance actions. Reads blueprints, schematics operation manuals and has the ability to troubleshoot, repair, adjust, align, design, and calibrate electronic and mechanical equipment. Trains, assigns and evaluates the performance of assigned staff; develops, coordinates and conducts in-service training to RTC staff on policies and procedures related to operations. Provides administration of annual operational requirements. Operates a variety of office equipment, to include computers and associated software. Manages multiple projects/deliverables with short targeted completion dates. All other duties as assigned.
