The Operations Process Control Manager position will oversee the process control program and system integration coordination associated with CIP work. The position requires physical presence at the treatment facility, and the schedule is: The candidate selected for this position will work five days/week, eight hours/day, M-F, from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm during onboarding and orientation. Final schedule, including options for compressed work weeks and telework, will be identified and agreed upon by the incumbent and manager. The position is responsible for supporting and supervising staff while managing related activities in operating the wastewater treatment processes at the Columbia Boulevard Wastewater Treatment Plant and the Combined Sewer Overflow (CSO) system. They will work collaboratively with and help to support the Treatment Pumping Systems Division (TPSD) in developing and delivering Capital Improvement Project (CIP) work and will forecast and provide timely communication on predicted collisions in schedules. They will work to help establish standards for the division, including working closely with a new System Integration/Asset Commissioning Analyst to develop and communicate expected outcomes associated with key performance indicators (KPI)s and other operational process optimization efforts. This position will have a financial role in tracking and communicating costs and appropriate funding for consumables (chemicals) budgeting and maintain lines of communication to division and senior management needs for alterations to funding and cost centers. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from a college or university accredited by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education through the American Medical Association and the Association of American Medical Colleges, with a Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathy degree and completion of an approved EMS Fellowship or Board eligible for sub-specialty in Emergency Medical Services. Licenses or Certifications: Texas Licensed Physician or Osteopath (or ability to obtain within 180 days of employment) Board Certification in Emergency Medicine. Texas Class C Operator’s License. Serves as a physician resource for the City of Austin/Travis County EMS System. Provides direct medical control, field clinical care delivery, and development and implementation of patient-focused programs. Responds to emergency calls as needed. Performs clinical review of care provided identified by random review or specific inquiry or complaint. Develops, reviews, validates, and implements clinical policies, procedures and operating guidelines. Credentials system providers and assists in oversight of all system accreditation. Develops and delivers educational programs for all specialty areas and organizations. Participates in system-wide meetings. Facilitates and mediates inter-organizational conflicts. Participates in dialogue with partners in the medical community to explore innovative programs focused on patient care and alternative delivery of appropriate medical care.
