This single-position classification is responsible for the creation, development, and evaluation of the interpretive and educational programming at the City of Sacramento's Crocker Art Museum. Education: Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from a four-year accredited college or university with a major in art history, arts administration, art education, museum studies, museum management or a closely related field. A Master’s degree in Museum Education is highly desirable. HHPZ is open year-round catering to families with children. It operates nine amusement park rides, showcases various endangered species, and operates one of the oldest classical puppet theaters in California, as well as offering many other playgrounds and attractions emphasizing play and imagination in a natural conservation setting. The Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services Department is currently seeking to fill one (1) full-time Zoo Curator vacancy in the Parks Division at Happy Hollow Park & Zoo. Salary Information The salary range for this classification is: $81,768.96 - $99,415.68. This salary range includes an approximate five percent (5%) ongoing non-pensionable compensation. Minimum Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Biology, Zoology or a related field.
