This position requires a thorough level of technical expertise to provide leadership on serials maintenance, including clean-up projects, quality control, defining best practices, and training others in the department according to best practices. In consultation with the Department Head and Acquisitions Coordinator, responsibilities include: managing print and electronic serials acquisitions and renewals; monitoring renewal cost increases; monitoring and dealing with adds and drops from packages; preparing reports; participating in the assessment of department operations and functions; drafting documentation; providing training to department staff; and interpreting library procedures and policies pertaining to the acquisition of serials and government documents. Responsible for all aspects of managing the Federal Depository Library Program (FDLP). DEFINITION: Directs the environmental health program activities in a health district; or has immediate responsibility for a specialized County-wide environmental health program. The Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD) is currently recruiting for a Developmental Specialist 4 in Carson City with bi-weekly day trip travel to the Winnemucca, NV office. This recruitment may be used to fill current and future vacancies as they occur in the following program: Nevada Early Intervention Services (NEIS). The Rural Frontier offices for Nevada Early Intervention include Carson City, Elko, Ely, and Winnemucca offices. This position will provide direct oversight and supervision of Early Childhood professionals within the NEIS program serving children (birth to three years of age) with developmental delays or disabilities to ensure compliance with all federal mandates and deadlines. Incumbents are required to complete timely and accurate reports, statistical data, and fiscal information; provide administrative leadership consistent with established protocols; participate and assist in establishing and implementing policies and procedures as required and provide ongoing training and support to staff.
