The SF Bay NERR was established by the state of California for long-term research, education and stewardship of the San Francisco Estuary. It includes two sites that encompass 3,700 acres of intertidal to upland habitats: China Camp State Park in Marin County and Rush Ranch Open Space Preserve in Solano County. The SF Bay NERR has its headquarters at SF State’s Estuary & Ocean Science Center (EOS Center) on the SF Bay shore of the Romberg Tiburon Campus, about 40 minutes north of SF State’s main (Holloway) campus. The Director of the SF Bay NERR leads a dynamic, collaborative, and interdisciplinary estuarine science program with local, regional, and national connections. Job Summary: As an essential member of the Public Safety Department within the Division of Administration Finance and Technology, the Manager of Emergency Management/Business Continuity will provide strategic direction in all areas of emergency preparedness and management and is responsible for assessing, revising, communicating, and maintaining the campus Emergency Management Plan, including disaster mitigation, preparedness, planning, training, education, response, business continuity, and recovery. Duties and responsibilities: Annually revises and updates the comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (EMP) to include collaborating with other University Departments to revise and update the functional annexes and hazard specific appendices. Collaborates with the Police Department, Environmental Health & Safety, Facilities, Information Technology Services and other departments to adopt best practices with respect to design, coordination and implementation of campus-wide emergency preparedness initiatives. Establishes and maintains an emergency Building Marshall Team for every campus building and assists them in annually updating their Building Comprehensive Emergency Action Plan that is specific to the needs of the units in each building. Job Summary: As an essential member of the Public Safety Department within the Division of Administration Finance and Technology, the Manager of Emergency Management/Business Continuity will provide strategic direction in all areas of emergency preparedness and management and is responsible for assessing, revising, communicating, and maintaining the campus Emergency Management Plan, including disaster mitigation, preparedness, planning, training, education, response, business continuity, and recovery. Duties and responsibilities: Annually revises and updates the comprehensive Emergency Management Plan (EMP) to include collaborating with other University Departments to revise and update the functional annexes and hazard specific appendices.
