Position: Workforce Development Business Analyst

Location: Waukegan, IL

Salary: $57,834

Job Summary: Responsible for conducting evaluations and audits across Workforce Development grants, grant-funded programs and service delivery contracts to assess cost-effective strategies and development continuous improvement measures.

Becoming the Workforce Development Business Analyst would allow you to be involved in local government, ranging from grant management to program evaluations against policy and statutory direction, to fostering relationships across partners and stakeholders.

Your day will consist of taking an active role in working with employment and training programs and grants throughout Lake County with key stakeholders, training and service providers, and business customers. You will have endless opportunities to impact and making a difference within Lake County. Being able to build working relationships with employees, 30 countywide departments and the public, is sure to keep you interested and continuously learning.

In order to be successful in this role you should have a bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field or related experience. Individuals should have a working knowledge of economic, community, and workforce development; the ability to read and interpret state and federal Workforce Innovative and Opportunity (WIOA) statutes and guidelines; possess the ability to effectively problem solve and have the ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
